FAQs
Helpful answers about shopping, European profiles and Eurava.
Shopping with Eurava
What is Eurava?
Eurava helps you discover European products and services and understand the companies and retailers behind them. Browse the shop, explore the company directory or read About us. Purchases take place on external websites.
Do I buy directly from Eurava?
No. “View at” takes you to the named retailer or service provider. The seller handles payment, delivery, returns and your purchase contract.
Is Eurava free to use?
Yes. You do not need an account or a paid subscription to browse. Retailer links may be affiliate links. Eurava earns commission on qualifying purchases. Learn more. We do not add a Eurava checkout fee.
Why might a price or offer be different on the retailer’s website?
Prices, stock and promotions can change after an update. Check the final currency, tax, shipping, import charges and product specification with the seller. For services, check whether the amount is monthly, annual, an introductory offer or subject to automatic renewal. We do not promise the lowest price or every available offer.
Who handles delivery, returns, refunds and subscriptions?
The seller named on your order confirmation. Contact it about delivery, cancellation, a faulty item, a refund or ending a subscription. Check its terms and your applicable consumer rights. Eurava cannot view or amend your order; tell us if a listing or retailer link is wrong.
Does the selected store guarantee delivery to me?
No. UK, FR and DE help you browse offers for those markets, but each retailer sets delivery destinations and charges. A European company can ship from elsewhere. Check the dispatch location and possible import charges, particularly for cross-border orders.
Understanding European profiles
What does Eurava mean by Europe?
We use current Council of Europe membership: 46 countries at the September 2026 review, including the UK, Norway and Switzerland as well as EU members. The Council of Europe is a separate organisation from the EU. This is our assessment boundary, not a customs-origin rule or a claim of official endorsement.
What is the difference between Brand, Retailer and Company?
Brand means the name under which a product or service is offered. Retailer means the business selling it to you. Company is our shared term for the business behind either role; one company may be both the brand and the retailer.
What do the European-profile buttons assess?
On products, the three buttons cover Brand, Production and Retailer. Brand and Retailer combine ownership, incorporation and headquarters. Company profiles show Ownership, Incorporation & HQ and Production separately. Open a button for its scope and the relevant company overview, or read How we work.
What do the symbols and colours mean?
A green tick means European within the stated scope; a soft-yellow partial symbol means a mix of European and non-European elements; a red cross means Not European. Grey “Unknown” means insufficient information; grey “N/A” means the criterion does not apply. Neither Unknown nor N/A is a negative finding.
Does a green tick mean independently verified?
Not necessarily. The button shows the assessment outcome, not the strength of the evidence. Company profiles distinguish reviewed supporting evidence, company statements and unverified information. A stated production claim is not a factory audit, and supporting evidence may become outdated.
Does the production button tell me where this exact item was made?
Usually not. Production is assessed across the company, which may operate several sites. It is not a product-origin certificate and does not establish where every component or raw material comes from. Check item-specific information with the manufacturer if that is important to your choice.
What does the “Wholly European” filter do?
In the shop it selects European for Brand, Production and Retailer together. In the company directory it selects European for Ownership, Incorporation & HQ and Production. It is a shortcut for those assessed scopes, not a claim about every tier of a supply chain. Unknown, partial and N/A results do not satisfy that shortcut.
Why can a digital service have N/A Production?
Some services have no relevant physical-production assessment under the scope currently used. N/A does not certify where a service is developed, operated or hosted. Those details should be read separately in the company information. Browse Digital Services without a production filter to include these offers.
Does a European profile certify quality or sustainability?
No. It describes specified connections to Europe. It is not a product safety, ethical, environmental or financial-health certification, or an assurance that a product suits your needs. Read the company information and the seller’s current product details.
Finding products and companies
How do I change stores?
Use Store in the header to choose UK, FR or DE. The chosen store is carried in page links. If no store is selected, a configured host country signal can select one; otherwise UK is used. See Cookies and preferences.
Why do some categories not appear?
The category menu shows categories with available listings in your selected store, including parent categories containing products in their subcategories. The hierarchy can expand as the catalogue grows. Digital Services sit within the same shop.
What do “Most popular” and “New European companies” mean?
“New European companies” shows the latest additions to our directory, not newly incorporated businesses. “Most popular” is an editorial order, not a count of confirmed purchases. Read our ranking explanation.
Do you list every European business?
No. The catalogue is curated and grows over time. Missing a company is not a negative assessment. Some listings may have partial, unknown or non-European elements so that you can understand the full picture. Use the profile filters to make your own choice.
Can I suggest my company, another company or a correction?
Yes. Suggest a company with its website and supporting ownership, headquarters or production information. For an error, suggest a correction and include the relevant page and evidence. A submission does not guarantee inclusion or a particular assessment.
